I noticed more low-end with the Stealth (over my F4B) Your performer probably has about the same low-end power as the Stealth, with the Stealth you'd gain more high RPM power (it pulls to 6800, while the Performer is around 5000 I think).
I got 19.5 mpg with 3.70 rear gears when I went to Ohio for the nationals. Around town it is about 14-15, but that's because I have a double-pumper.

: I have a Performer on my 289, and get about 17 MPG, with good responce. where in the curve did you notice the difference? Do you have a stall converter?
