We (the US) pay less for gas than anyone else.
I doubt the govenless is going to control gradual price increases that
will bring us into the same as the rest of the world.
Dahmler and Ford have both publicly announced the launch of fuel cell
technology in 2001.(wall st journal)
There is no incentive for the public to buy into fuel cell technology if
it is more than petrol.
The goal for the EPA is to foster '0' emission vehicles.
Therefore it is in the interest of the government to allow the price to
rise, spurring an interest in alternative fuel vehicles.
It is easier to allow this to occur during the summer months of this hemisphere,
as it reduces the cry of the high cost of heating oil.
OPEC does not care. They are selling every drop they pump out of the ground.
