:use the C-4. it's lighter and there is no big advantage going to the C-6. The C-6 is a horsepower robber. C-4 takes away about 30, C-6 takes away about 55 horses. Just use a crossmemeber from a Maverick V-8, they used the C-4 so it's a factory swap. If you really want to save some horsepower there is mods to the C-4 that will make it stronger, faster shifts, and get about 15 horese back to you.
i am puttin a 351W in my 72 maverick along with a C6, maybe a C4. what cross member should i get and where would i be able to find it? please help me out.
