I'm showing 66.25 miles per hour with a 3.00(or 2536 RPM at 60 MPH).

As far as the brakes...everyone says that the older(i.e. 74-77) Mav/Comet spindles fit fine between the ball joints. They also suggested the Granada/Monarch/Versales for the disc brake swap. They should have the larger discs. Just need to use the Granada outer tie-rod ends. Need everything from the master cylinder down...I think. About to do the same thing myself. Found a 77 Granada with front disc.

Might need the V8 Granada discs. Don't know....

Got a listing of swap parts on my web site, in "The Interchange" page.

: Good day to all,
: I have a 72' Maverick Grabber. I have the 302 V-8 with an auto trans. I want to put a Top Loader or a late model T-5 or equivalent trans. from a late model mustang. I also have a problem with my gearing in my differetial. I am running 8.5"x15" Centerline Convo Pro's with BFG 225x50x15's. I don't have a tacometer, but i think my RPM @ 60 mph is about 2800. I decoded my maverick using the decoder system found in a website. The code said I have 3.00:1 ring and pinion gear ratio. I have the C-4 trans, and would like to convert to a manual trans that would fit the 302 bell housing bolt pattern. With this current set-up the car gets pretty foul fuel mileage. I plan on working on the engine and hookin it up with a pretty hot engine configuration to produce about 350 horsepower. I think I should do the transmission swap first, and then configure the engine to the manual tranny. I also want to convert the crappy front drum brake system to a power disc brake system. I have a quick question for someone out there. I know that Ford made a Maverick in 74' with Front Disc Brakes. Will the 74' Maverick's front spindle fit on my cars front suspension. If the 74' and the 72'(which I have) front upper/lower control arm and upper/lower ball joints are the same part # then maybe the spindel is the same part # as well, or maybe the dimensions are the same ie. spindle 'X','Y' and 'Z' dims. and location. If I put all of this money into the engine and trans set-up, I better be able to stop that damn car. So if anyone has any suggestions to my questions please feel free to suppport me in my endeavors.

: Regards,
: Chris Santos
