The 8" rear

My 1970 MAverick has a 6 3/4 inch rear in it left over from the Comet and Fairlane days. I found a 4 door Maverick with an 8 inch with 5 lug spindles. Can these directly replace mine with minor mods? Any help would be appreciated.
