The '70 preliminary manual has Maverick-only material. All other ford shop manuals in the Maverick-era cover all Ford cars. The Maverick preliminary manual is better for Mavericks, but because you have a '71 (and the '70 book has no V8 reference material) I'd try to get a set of 1971 manuals. They appear on e-bay every once in awhile. Also try the following link, they have pretty good prices normally. -CP
: Whats the difference between a shop manual and a preliminary manual? I've found someone that has a '70 Maverick preliminary manual and '73 and '74 maverick shop manual for sell. I have a '71 Maverick Grabber and was also woundering if the '70 manual would be pretty much the same as the'71? I would be very grateful for any info.
