This happened to me about 7 years ago. Daughter was making left hand turn and tail ended, not her fault. Back end was pushed in about 11 inches. At first insurance wanted to total it, but in 1993 my 1970 Maverick had only 80,000 miles on it and was all origanal but paint. To make a long story short, insurance fixed the car. Some insurance companies will work with you.
