I have full dualls on my '73 and a friend has full duals on HIS '73 and there was NO modification to the fuel tanks. You should take your car to a different exhaust shop...
: I am rebuilding a 71 mav. When I talked to a shop about doing a custom dual exhaust the guy told me I would have to replace the gas tank if I wanted the exhaust to come straight out the back (which I do) because of the offset gas tank. He appeared to be aware of Mavs, his son has a 74. Is there any way around this problem (pardon the pun). Would a tank from a later year mav help? I would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks
