: : I added that to the FAQ builder a couple days ago that I use stock offset. I don't know how to measure offset, but stock offset (on American Racing Wheels) works perfect on my Maverick. -CP

: : : Everyone stresses the importance of the rim offset. So what is the proper offset? Thanks Russ

: ::::If I'm not mistaken, offset is measured from the mounting surface on the back of the rim to lip. Lay a straight edge across the rim and measure the distance to the mounting surface. Not all stock rims have the same offset.Bill
:::Sorry about the second post!I measured my 14x7 Magnum 500s that came on a '72 Torino Sport and the back spacing is 4 1/2". These are the wheels I'm using after I get my 351W and 8" in my '71 mav. I'm undecided on tire size but I want the widest possible on the rear.
