You might get $1500 for it...I got MY '73 V-8 Maverick in 1981 with 68,000 miles on it from the original owner (old man) for $1300. He was asking $1500 but talked him down a little. This car came with 302, cloth seats, dual sport mirrors, air conditioning, power steering, factory tint glass, and rear window defogger. Cars don't appreciate, they depreciate (unless it is a rare collectable; different story) but cars like these are getting difficult to find these days. Definitely a car worth restoring...especially a 2-door...

: I have a 73 maverick 2 door that I believe I am going to have to sell. I bought a house and
: I have way to many projects as it is.

: I am the 3rd owner of this 65k mile car. It is the proverbial little old lady car since the 2nd
: owner bought it from the first owners estate. It is a 2door metallic silver (almost pewter) with
: a white vinyl top. It has a 250 (of which I rebuilt the whole head and carb) and an automatic
: tranny. The body is in good shape and the paint is shiny, It does has some soft rust spots
: in each quater and one fender. The brown interior is mint, really, there is a tiny 1/2" tear in
: the drivers side seatback from use but everything else is 100%. I put in a new radiator, had
: replaced all 4 wheel cylinders, replaced all shoes, cut all drums, fixed all brake lines and
: replaced the master. Since then the car has been driven 25 miles. I also bought some 1974
: vintage Anson Sprint slooted mags and put on 4 new 14" GT Qualifiers.

: I also have but not installed yet is a complete electronic ignition from a 77 car, a complete
: power steering system, and complete power front disk brake system. I also have another
: radiator, extra headlight/taillight bezels.

: The problem with the car is I believe the tank has too much sediment in it and it needs a
: new one. the only way to get the car running is to disconnect the fuel line/carb connection,
: crank the engine over and pump out the brown gasoline until it turns clear then reconnect
: it. It then runs fine until the car sits for a while again. I already have a tank from a 77 but
: haven't put it in yet.

: P.S. It still has the AM only Philco radio and single front dash speaker!

: Anyway, I'm sure this sound like a goldmine of Maverick stuff, kindof a project in a box. Can
: anybody honestly tell me what this whole package is worth?

: Is anybody interested in buying it? Im in southern CT.
