: the front end of my 74 comet needs work. I've got a lead on some front disk brakes from a 75 maerick and I'm thinking that while I've got it apart, I might as well just go ahead and replace what needs replacing. Should I just go ahead and spring for a full complete frontened kit from someplace like PST for 400-500 bucks or just try to pick up the individual components at my local auto parts.
: Also, I've got this "clunk" when I shift from forwrd to reverse(or vice versa). yes, I am stopped before I do this. I'm thinking motor mount or transmission mount. How difficult are these to find? Thanks
If you do have to replace your trans. mount or engine mounts they can be found at most auto parts stores. But if you ever have to replace your frame mounts(mount between motor mount and frame),they can sometimes be hard to find.Especially V-8 mounts.I swapped a 170 for a 302 and it took me a little searching but they are out there.
