Not for a Maverick, of course, but they may be the most modified 1 cyl ever. I ran a racing kart for 3 years with a 5 hp Briggs, we cranked 15 hp out of it, and the Modified division had over 20! Junior Dragsters use 5 hp Briggs also. They sound pretty cool, beleive it or not, and redline about 10 grand. -CP

: Why go with a 5hp Briggs? Parts are too hard to find, and you would spend twice the amount of money than you would if you just dropped in 25hp V-4 Honda OHV lawnmower motor. Why would anybody want to build up a 5 hp Briggs? It would just sound like a lawn mower when you get done.

: Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha.......and the jokes continue!!!!!!!

: : how much alteration do i need to install that 5hp lawnmower engine thats in my garage into my mav? will the i6 mounts work for it? do they make any aftermarket heads for those? i think once i get it installed i will install either a dual-exaust and twin turbo, or a super charger. or maybe a nitrous hookup. the possibilities are ENDLESS!!! im shooting for the 145s@13mph on the quarter mile. am i shooting too high?

: : *NOTE* yes, i AM making fun of all the motor swap posts.
: : Yes, it IS a joke!
: : No, dont lynch me and steal my maverick! (you wouldnt want it anyways!)
