They have different speedos but the calibration is in the guage itself, it reads the input speed. As long as you won't be going over 85. -CP

: ...because the '77 has the fuse panel where the e-brake was on the "older" cars (or do a LOT of "creative engineering"). As the others have stated, the 'upper' is MUCH easier to remove or install with the windshield out of the car. You will also need to change the speedometer gears in the transmission for the '120' speedo to read properly (unless you have access to a "speedometer calibration shop" which can install an inline adapter to make it read correctly with the '85' speedo gears)
