Just for those that wasent aware, Putting a hose in a radiator & turning it on will not necessarly flush a radiator. It only takes about 3 or 4 of the tubes to carry the flow from any garden hose. A radiator can be rodded out fairly cheaply providing it is in good shape. Usually less than $50 around here. They unsolder the cap & run rods down each tube to clean it out. This is the only way to know for sure if your radiator is in working order. Alot of shops will tell you, you need to recore it, but usually if you tell them up front that you cant afford to recore it so just fix it the best you can, they magically seem to make it work. So unless you can trust the shop to be honest you can try that. If it is in bad shape, they will refuse to work on it. A good radiator is money well spent.
