Thanks!!

but my sub-frame connectors will bolt on in the same place where the leaf spring is fixed(near the front part of the rear wheel). They will be bolted together. And in the front part, the sub frame connectors will be bolted (or welded) under the floor pans.

Now, when we make a hard launch, the diferential moves slight.Since the diferenctial is bolted in the leaf spring, the leaf spring will move too.And there is the Up and down move too.And since the leaf spring will move, i think my sub-frame connectors will move.Is that right?

Traction bars will work without slicks?

with the sub-frame connectors, the car won't be too hard for street use?

: Alex,
: By all means if you are going to add any power to these relativly light chassis you should add subframe connectors. Not only will the keep your car from becoming very twisted, you WILL notice a fair difference in the way the car launches and especially the way it handles. As far as the waves, they will keep the big ones that will appear without them from happening. after a few months or even weeks with that much power without subs and or a roll cage you will notice that the doors dont work as good as they once did, and if you are hard enough on it you will notice a large crease/concave roll in the roof top itself. Also with this added power make sure you add some form of traction bars. These cars ( old fords in general) tend to rip out the left rear shock mounts if they are launched hard alot ( learned the hard way), that and what fun is having the power if you can not get it to the ground? You mention bolt in connectors, even if you do get the bolt in ones take them in to any muffler shop and have them welded also, It makes a big difference. Also make sure that the car is on all four wheels when you do this to make sure that it is square. ( the same for when they are bolted in, so dont have the car on jack stands.
: Have fun with your toy, These are real fun cars when you add power to them.
: Hope my rambling as usual helps

: : Hi friends. This question may sound strange.but here it is:

: : Hi.
: : I got a 79 maverick (here in brazil they made it until 79 - always with the small bumper) with a 302,crane mechanical camshaft (278/288) roller rockers, performer rpm heads, holley 650 double pumper, msd 6al,msd billet distributor, msd ss coil and hedmann headers.
: :
: : I think this combo will get +- 350 hp.
: :
: : Since my 79 structure is very poor, i was thinking about getting a sub-frame connector.Do i really need it??I can have a custom made, that will bolt in all the way from the differential to the front floor pans.
: :
: : Other thing, when you start to drive those old cars hard, the body starts to get damaged. You start to find flaws on the body (like small waves,or small dents) when you look at it.I am not talking about structure damage.I am talking about a door, or a rear quarter.
: : IF i use a sub-frame connector, this body damage will stop??Or get minimized?
: :
: : I will only use the car at street with radial tires. But driving it VERY hard.
: :
: : what do you think about it?

: : The sub-frame connector will improve my traction?
: :
: : thanks
