What year do you have? My 73 just had the system redone again. I installed a remote controlled Clarion fm-cassette tuner with a 6 disc changer in the trunk. I have 6 Boston Acoustic drivers (2 6.5 in kick panels, 2 6x9s in the read deck and 2 10s behind the rear seat in a custom enclosure. A Soundstream 5 channel amp powers the system. Just by looking in the car it doesn't look like I have anything, and that was the point. Here is a few of the details. On the 73 up cars its easy to put 6.5s in the kickpanels as they are already cut for them. I put Dynamat to seal it off, then cut a hole for my front drivers. The kick panels themselves I used a pair of grilles from a old Torino that had the factory speakers in the doors, works perfect. You will notice a little square ridge on the inside of the panels, and most of the old Ford factory grilles will fit this once cut out. The 6x9s in the back I moved more towards the sides of the car then the stock location was. I just put some holes in a piece of thin plywood and covered it with matching acoustic cloth, and it looks like factory. My defroster is still in the middle too. I spent $200 to have a custom enclosure made and my 10s are in the x brace now and completely sealed. The rear deck all the way down to the floorboard has been covered in Dynamat. What I have now is a very musical system, if not extremely loud. I got most of the items used on Ebay and other places, and just pieced it together as I got the money for it. Any questions let me know, I have a few pieces left over too, but just sold most of it.
