: thanks for answering.. by the way it.s a 1970 2 dr , automatic

I had my driver Mav for about 2 years. It went from NY to AZ fully loaded in the middle of July--straight through with stops only for food and gas--at average speeds around 80 mph. It then made it's way through some heavy driving in Phoenix for about a year (anyone who lives or has lived in a city knows that city driving is hell on cars--constant stop and go). The searing heat of the desert throughout all of the traffic jams couldn't even stop the mighty Mav. The Mav then went back to NY from AZ, once again in the middle of July, fully loaded, with minimal stops, with no problems. Then it decided to take a thousand mile jaunt from NY to GA for the heck of it. Weekly 300 mile round trips within GA in addition to the normal "city" driving and still no problems. Throughout the entire time I owned the Mav, honestly now, the only thing I had to replace was the starter--a whopping $19.99. To this day the Mav is still being used as a problem-free daily driver. So in response to your question (finally), nah.
