The Maverick doesn't have struts! It Has shock absorbers and leaf springs in the rear, and coil springs and shock absorbers in the front. You need new leaf springs and probably new shocks. The shock absorbers "damp" the tendency for the springs to oscillate. They have nothing to do with rride height!

: I just bought a 1970 2 dr automatic mav.. the back of the car is low and
: the struts need fixing.. What should I do?. I know there are products
: on the market that can raise them but i dont think thats the best way.
: Should i replace them, if so how much will that cost. What are my
: options, appreciate any help, thanks a lot...........sonny
