you have two, factory external one is between the pump and the carb, with a Ford carb it screws into the carb with the fuel connecting to it. The other one most people never know about is in the gas tank at the fuel line pick up tube. Only way to get at it is too pull the sending unit out. It comes out with it. Rust and crude will plug it up. Especially on a older car.
