: The most efficient way is to set timing for peak torque on the dyno. You can come very close to this by advancing until you hear detonation, then backing off a degree until it stops completely.
: An old 5.0L Mustang trick is to advance timing to 14 degrees and run premium, this picks up about a tenth in the quarter for those cars. -CP


: : Okay...I'm having a brain fart here. I can't remember why a high initial timing is desired. I'm running 14 degrees now. No problems, just wanted to know if maybe backing it off would help. Maybe back to 12??
