Here is what to look for:
G = 3.55 non-locking
X = 3.55 locking
Good luck. I happened to find the "G" one last summer. I found an "X" one, but the entire rear-end was gone already!!
Also, on the "G" code, all 1974's with a V-6 had this gear...so if you find a V-6, you have got one. (I think the year is correct)
: I found a 78 Mustang II in the local junk yard. It has a "7" rear end code on the door tag. Can anyone tell me what rear gear should be in this? and would it be a 8" I can't get under the car the way it sits. Thanks Russ
