:if suspension is factory orginal. Probably the problem due to the stress you put on it when you brake. Including strut rod bushings.

I'm having a bit of a problem with my mav, something i haven't really been able to track down. Whenever i put on the brakes, the steering wheel starts to shake violently back and forth. The gearbox has been replaced recently, i'd say it has a total of about 50k miles on it, and i've had my car aligned several times over the years (and that didn't solve the problem). I also had my drums turned, although the one on the passenger side seems to have been done incorrectly because i can hear the pad catching and releasing when i'm idling down the street. could that be what's causing the problem? Since i had them turned, were they turned incorrectly or is the drum just warped (which it doesn't appear to be)? What else should i look for?

: Thanks!
