My EFI conversion car uses the new style pump with the old p/s system without a hitch. Even the fittings matched up.
: has anyone ever used one of the newer power steering pumps off say a early 90's crown vic or lincoln? i'm switching to a 5.0 carb. and i want to use the ribbed belt since i already the pulleys for it. just running alt. waterpump and crank, but thinking of using the newer style PS pump since i can bolt it on easily. actually, to use the crown vic. alternator bracket, i have to use the PS bracket to support the botton alt bolt. btw i'm using a 3G130A alt.
: so, my question is... will the newer PS pump work with my old cylinder etc. if i just swap pumps and reconnect hoses?
