: Russ,

: I'd check the master cylinder first. It sounds like it may have gone bad. Does the car have power brakes or are they manual?

:
: : On my way to work today I noticed that the left rear brake was dragging. On my way home the brake petal went to the floor. After some pumping of the petal it came back up enough to stop the car for a couple of stops then it went back to the floor. I can't see any fluid leaking any where. The rear reservoir fluid looks rusty and the front reservior looks ok. both levels are full. I've put about 5oo miles on the car after being parked for 2 years. I also put new shoes on all 4 wheels(drums)about 200 miles ago. Any ideas? thanks Russ

Do You know how to bleed the brakes? If no fluid is leaking and the brakes are adjusted, bleed them before You replace anything,if You don't know how to this this take the car in and have it done!
