They are cut so that you can remove & replace the upper control arm bushings...so you can get a wrench on 'em; they back out when you unscrew them and have to go somewhere...


: I have noticed that a previous owner has cut holes in the lower front part of both shock towers, apparently to gain easier access to grease fittings? Has anyone else ever seen this done? Is it good, bad, or indifferent? Thanks.
