I really appreciate your responses , both of your info helps alot.The reason I needed to know this stuff is because I need to figure out if my car is running at full potential or not.The best I could do with my 70 with a 302, C4 and 3.00:1 gears is 17.9 in the quarter, my car just doesn't have much throttle response above 30 mph and I am not sure why.I am thinking it is because of my carb. because it acts as if the engine is running very lean.Anyhow, I know for sure something is wrong with my car, I just need to figure out what is causing the response problem.Thanks again.
