Yes, it is a car show, and we will be judging the cars that show up and will give out awards based on which ones are the best...like any other car show.
But this show is not for "car show" cars only. Many cars will be driven to the Round-Up Nationals, including Todd Parker from CA and Charlie Ping from Alabama. Charlie drives his car everyday...so it is definitely a daily driver. I would say that most of the cars that come to the Round-Up are not "show queens"...and that is O.K. Our goal is to show what can be done with a Maverick/Comet. We want to show all the people out there that the blue oval is more than just a Mustang.
I would rather have 40 "average" Mavericks/Comets show up, then to have only 4 trailer queens show up.
I quess I am saying drive your car and bring it on "into" the show. You will not be an embarassment. Help support the club...and help support your fellow Maverick/Comet owners by joining the rows and rows of Mavericks/Comets. When you see the "field of dreams" and see all the looks on peoples faces when there are that MANY Maverick/Comets in one place...it really is great!!

: OK here's the deal. My Mav is a long way from "show quality", more of a "daily driver than anything. It has rust in the normal spots,Wal-Mart rash,and bad paint. I won't have time to fix it the way it needs to be done. The question is should I still go the Round-up? I don't want to be an embarassment to the club or myself. Maybe I could leave the car out in the parking lot and "walk in". I guess the real question is,is the Round-Up for show cars only,or for any Mav,and Comet? Opinions? Thanks Russ
