This is how I intend to handel it so far.
I talked to his daughter last night and she (also thinks this is a good idea too) says that since the accident (second and third degree burns over a lot of his body remember) he has been in a lot of pain and has been difficult to approach. I also know that when I get angery I ALSO tend to loose control and may make a sticky situation worse.
So... I intend to sit down and write a well thought out letter to be sent along with the T-cross-member (which is the only physical thing that is stopping the engine swap austensibly). In it I will suggest that because we are wanting to put and end to this (I'll re phase it) that with in a certain (reasonable) time frame I would like the 302 (that I purchased) put into the car AND Alice made drivable. Anything left to do can just be left (Should Only be the floor shifter and buckets from the doner car). I will make arrangemnets to pick up the Comet within a reasonable amount of time OR forfit my rights to the doner.
(I have a few people I might be able to tap for this honor... one who is interested in Nicky who might take him in exchange for 'finishing up')

WORSE Case senerio.
I have proof that I paid him (cashiers receipt)
a witness (not his daughter) who saw me give him the money and was there during the arrangements.
I also have proof that I NEVER intended to surrender the car (Alice has been listed on the insurance consistanly) and I renewed her tabs in April.
If he tries anything funny I am NOT above involing an attorney or small claims court BUT I want to try the diplomatic solution first.
Oh yeah, from Now on... EVERYTHING in Writing.
*sigh*
