Sounds like you have a pretty good plan worked out for solving your problem. I might offer another suggestion though. Find somebody with a truck and trailer and simply go down there and pick up the engine, the car, and all the miscellaneous parts associated with the project and tow it all home. I know that would create another problem of getting the car finished, but at least you won't have to worry about what's happening to it in your absence and then you can have direct control over it's fate without having to depend on someone else. Personally I'd rather do this than risk getting into a legal battle. Those kind of things can drag on and on, and if you think you don't have any cash now, well...
