He should be paying the assistant out of the money that you gave him to complete the car, as the assistant is now doing his work for him. That would be like taking your car to Pep Boys, paying for brakes to be installed, and then having to pay each person that works on the car separate. It's pretty simple and I would think that he should understand once you lay it out on the table for him. Tim
