: The fact that he has had to hire an assistant is no concern of yours. You paid him for a job, if he needs more people to complete the job he took on, well that's on him. He should be paying the assistant out of the money that you gave him to complete the car, as the assistant is now doing his work for him. That would be like taking your car to Pep Boys, paying for brakes to be installed, and then having to pay each person that works on the car separate. It's pretty simple and I would think that he should understand once you lay it out on the table for him. Tim

: : I understand both of your situations. I would think that you could ask him for your car back and he would help arrange. How far along is the car? -CP

:
: : : As you may know, Alice has been down with a freind's dad for the last 6 months.
: : : I gave him $700 for a 302 v-8 and a comet GT doner car, I also included and Additonal $600 to cover labor. I bought new chrome valve covers, a grabber hood and have a transmision cross member in my trunk waiting to go down on tuesday.
: : : He had an accident a few months ago and has hired on an assistant to help him. Heres the glitch. He keeps trying to get more money out of me!!! He says he can't finish it with out cash for his assistant.
: : : I sure as sh** don't have any to spare right now. I've just had to put ANOTHER $100 in what was supposed to be my TEMPORAY car to keep it on the road.
: : : When do I say "enough"? Do I make arrangements to re-posses my car? What about my engine that hasn't been installed yet? The parts from my doner car???
: : : How? UNFORTUNATELY we did NOT have a written agreement (my bad, I thought I could trust my freinds dad... we'd been freinds for years. I DO have witnesses to the conversation regaurding the arrangement and Payment (have the cashiers stub)
: : : *sigh*
