the only way to be sure is to take it out and clean it right. Anything else you're asking for more problems. Then you can also flush the line properly.

: I need to find out the best way to drain and flush my gas tank and fuel lines, preferably without removing the tank(???) The guy that I got the car from said it runs, but the last inspection sticker on it says 1989, and I don't want to try to run it on 11-year-old gas. When you take the gas cap off it smells like a combination of Vicks Vap-o-rub and horse piss, so I don't imagine that would be good for an engine. Any help would be appreciated.
