I'm glad you've decided not to sell it, at least for now. If I'm not mistaken, you power brake by pressing the gas and brake at the same time, which allows the engine to build RPMs and get off the line better. You just have to practice to know when is enough and when is too much (too much will smoke the tires). Buy a tach! There's lots of good info on this board's archives to help you install a v8 in your original i-6 car, so make sure you take advantage of that. As for a carburetor for a 351... some might say it's too much for the number of cubes, but I really like a 600cfm Holley. I've run one on both a tricked-out 390 and a 351, and it was sweet on both applications.
