This weekend I decidied that the Mav was running kinda rough, A good indication that
the plugs were giving up the ghost. I went down to the auto store and picked up a good cap,
rotor, plugs, fuel and air filters. While I was looking around I found a
Performance distributor weight and spring kit from mr gasket. Whnt home installed the plugs etc.
Pulled the sparky thing out cleaned it up, all the bushings seemed ok,
When I got it apart the springs that were in it were 2 different sizes???
Anyway, installed the new springs and weights, put it all back together
set the timing and took it for a drive. Runs better than it has in 5 years.
It revs smoother, pulls away in traffic better. All around I want to say
if you have the stock springs in your distributor, you can gain a little for the
low price of about $8.00.
