he said when he puts it in gear... so i thought he might be referring to that PING!! we hear when the driveshaft U-joints are on their way out. it didn't seem to me that he was talking about ignition ping.
don't really know what he means though!
: If its the engine then its probably running lean or the timing is too advanced. Check timing and and fuel filter, and try higher octane fuel.
