:handling sucks, probably because your springs are old and the shocks are weak, small sway bar up front doesn't help any either, 302 is a better way to go, besides the weight is located different from a V-8 to a six. Also 6s didn't have the center brace below the engine that the V-8s do. makes for a stiffer frame up front.
Not only are parts cheaper, but you can get easier HP out of a V-8 over a 6, and they can take more punishment.


Want to biuld a 250 performance six but saw a 302 in a 4-door Mav at the salvage yard. Guy will sell it to me 200$ as is. So....hmmm...302's are so damn cheap to build back to stock condition. It would be great to have. I don't know...I like the v-8 thing but not the 250 lbs more up front. Handling sucks right now the way it is. Drop me a message with your opinion of course.
