Things like belts hoses and "soft parts are prettty easy to find. Trim and "pretty" stuff may be a bit harder. Upgrades are easy to find but a bit more costly because they are spinoffs from the classic Mustang hobby. You want a rack and pinion steering on a Maverick, all wheel disk breaks, or a Mustang II suspension upgrade? Yes you can have them all for around $3,000. All in all a 2 door Maverick is becoming an increasingly collectable car and if your coworker gets to this site he might think twice about giving it away. BTW the I6 200 or 250 are very tough little engines, I have nearly 300,000 miles on mine and will be doing an overhaul soon when I give the car to my son. Enjoy.
