supercharging my mav??

K.. i heard that superchargers are run off the belts somehow and turbo chargers are off a custom exhaust. So i am thinking of someday wayyyyyyyy down the road to get a supercharger. What belt does the supercharger run off of though? i don't have the A/c so i'm just wondering. Thanks guyz,
