I can't tell you exactly 'cause I have never done a 6-cyl, but it's pretty simple. Look at the new set of points and figure out where it attaches. Unscrew the old set and put the new one in. Then turn the eninge over until the peak on the lobe on the distributor is on the points. (You can also loosen the distributor bolt and turn the distributor to do this, just make sure you mark it berforehand). When the lobe is set on the points so that they are fully open, then loosen the screws and adjust the gap to specifications using the feeler guage set. There should be a slot in the points to put a screwdriver so you can move the points without totally lossening the screws. Then tighten the screws and you are done. It helps to buy/borrow/steal a dwell meter to make sure everything is working correctly.
I don't have specs for the 6-cyl right now, I can get some by tommorow.
If you get a reman distributor I would be sure to check the points anyway. -CP

: How do you swap the out? I have a new distributer cap and roter and that looks pretty easy but I am a little lost when it comes to the points.
