As far as I know, those were the only three kinds (excluding Comets). The early deluxe is knurled with the steer head, the later deluxe has the steer head but is aluminum. The standard cap has the word "Maverick" -CP
: I was just wondering if anyone knows exactly how many styles of gas caps were used for the various Mavericks(sprint, grabber,stallion70-77) I have three different. One is the knurled kind crome with the steer inside lucite with the horns reaching outside the lariet. Another is some of aluminum wiht the steer completely contained in the lariet. The other is aluminum with just the word maverick inside the lariet. Also I saw a 72 comet gt for sale Sat. for $700. White with sorta lime green interior. Origial 302 floor auto.
