I have run 4.11:1 gears and they are too much for highway use. I now run 3.70:1's and have used them on the highway frequently with no problem, but 3.55:1's would be a better highway choice. (I see almost 4,000 rpms at 75 with the 3.70's). -CP
: What gear can I run and still do ok on the freeway? I have a 1970 Maverick 2- door(california car). I have an 8 inch out back. My choices are for gear selection are. 3.00 , 3.25 , 3.55 , 4.11.
