:Go with the Pinto/Mustang II frontend, you also get rack & pinion steering and disc brakes with it, there is kits available from Morrison Ent. in Fife,Wa, 800-929-7188 orRod & Custom Motorsports, 843-629-1273.
This is the way to go if you have to redo the front end anyway. You'll reduce weight get better steering and be the talk of the town. Get their catalogs and from the pictures you can probably make your our setup.
Gee Charlie I thought you like to try new and better ideas, guess I was wrong.

I was looking at a salvage today and saw a Pinto Wagon that somebody has already snatched the front of, well I have a 71 Maverick that is totled, I was wondering if it would be hard to put the Front of the Mav on the Pinto Wagon? Has anybody tryed this, can it be done without too much work?
: Thank you for your time and information
