Tha 8.8 is for a coil spring/control arm rear end. it is also aproximately 4 inches wider that the maverick rear end. it is not worth the work to swap it. Granted, the 8.8 can be built as cheap as a 9 inch and wwiegs a lot less. I still wouldn't attempt it. Plus the turbo coupe is four lug. If you want e read end that is closer in size, try checking into a newer disc brake explorer read end. it is an 8.8 with disc brakes, 5x4.5 bolt pattern for leaf springs. The only problem is that I don't know if the overall length is close and if the leav spring pads are in the same places. Probably not.
