The pedal is too high because the push-rod on the disc master cylinder is longer...Disc brake cars used a different pedal. But the disc pedal doesn't fit as well; it works, but the plastic bushings will not fit over the retainer pin so you can't use 'em which results in a lot of side-to-side "slop" (disc cars used a bolt rather than a pin) and the pedal will hang a little crooked. WHAT I DID was go back to the stock pedal BUT used a SHORTER master cylinder rod (need a special tool to get the old one out) and now everything is perfect...

: : : Got it all done a few days ago, with my brothers help. Wasn't really that hard. Used the old drum/drum prop valve, changed the master cylinder, new rotors, calipers, hoses, pads, bearings, and seals. Took all day, but most of that was cleaning everything up. The only hard part was building the ONE brake line for the rear brakes from the master to the prop, drilling a few new holes to clamp the lines to the

: : : For those who wanna know...there is a union fitting under the charcoal canister that allows easy pulling of the passenger side line.

: : : Hopefully, soon I will be adding a new page to the "Current Mods" on my web site to show what we went through. Stay tuned.

: Works MUCH better than the drums. I just have one question. Is there a way to adjust the pedal height? It is pretty high now with the new master cylinder. Suggestions welcome.

: Thanks for EVERYONES help on this little project.
