In Reply to: South Side Machine Company makes them, I just ordered mine from Summit n/m posted by E.J. Bowen on March 13, 2000 at 21:13:26:

Be careful - I ordered the same ones from summit a few years back when I was putting my car together. They didn't fit well, in fact the body shop who installed them had to cut them and re-weld them back together so they would fit properly. I didn't want to bother with sending them back, but I doubt that it would have done much good. I hope for your sake that it was just an isolated thing, but make sure you test them before to get too involved...

: : :don't know of anyone that makes a set, but you can have them made yourself, just measure the lenght you want and get 2" square tubing with some 1/8" plating. Take it to a weld shop and they can build them for you from there. If you have a probable welder even easier. The steel is pretty cheap. Weld them in place, bolting will work loose after awhile which will mean retighting them.
: : If you're going to be banging some gears make sure and insp the rear body pieces for any cracks/rust that might be developing. You never know on unibody construction.

: : "m getting ready to put in a 9" rearend and was looking at the under side, was wondering about subframe connectors. Wanted to ask what is the best way to go, bolt on or weld on? And were I can get a good set. Thanks for any info.
