The MSD 6A can be used with your stock points distributor, the points will only be used as a trigger, with very little voltage passing through them, so the points will last much longer. The points will mechanically wear out before they electrically wear out. This will also increase the spark energy to the plugs, burn the fuel more completely making more power, throttle response, fuel economy and quicker starting.... damm... I almost sound like an MSD employee huh?? Isn't that strange??? hehe
