I have a Boss 302 Maverick. My headers were made about 20 years ago by Headman. Occasionally, I see a pair at the Ford swap meets. And the last time I checked, they were still being made by either Blackjack or Hooker. The set I have come apart in about 15 peices and loop over and under the motor mounts, clutch linkage, and suspension components. They are a real "treat" to put on and take off. I use three diferent types of header bolt heads so as to reach them. Each runner is 1 3/4" and the collector is 4".

As for dimensions of the Boss in a Maverick, I did cut away a little of the shock tower, but probably didn't have to. Ford engineers lined up the spark plugs with the cupped areas of the shock towers. With the valve covers removed, it is a fairly easy job to install the plugs.

Don't hesitate to e-mail me if you have any other questions.
