Hard to tell but check for the obvious first. A new oil sending unit is only 5 bucks or so and they do go bad. Happened to me on a '74 Torino and it was just the sending unit...
: Nicky has got a prob or two... (I know, I know... what ELSE is new?) I have his pitman arm assembly (steering box and all, 50$)
: but lately ... it started with just breaking hard, the "OIL" idiot light would come on. I checked his oil and water (a quart low, water really low) and he seemed ok after I topped it off but tonight on the way home the oil light came on when I breaked or sometimes round a turn or even if I just let off the accelorator on occasion.
: Am I looking at a new oil pump or something worse...?
: Also, at slow speeds he is a real pussy.. hills are the worse BUT once we get going on the freeway I have to watch the speed or I find myself pushing 80 without even breathing hard....
