: A while back my brother and I took out the tranny from my 76 302 to put it into my daily driver 71 I6. What a pain in the butt, got dumped with tranny fluid twice that week end. Well couldn't afford the 350+ for the C4 rebuild but like I said I found a guy to do the job for 175. This time no brother and no friends with time. By myself, I had my 76 on blocks, geez the neighbors were ticked, balance the tranny on a floor jack and eased it in place. That balancing act took 4 hours for is a 1 hour job. And I forgot to connect the coolant lines.
: I cut a cheap box end wrench and managed to get the coolant lines in. I also had taken off the exaust pipes and had to wrestle them in place. The car was off blockis by early sunday afternoon but I was too tired to run down to autozone. Wallmart doesn't carry the right tranny fliud anymore so the start up has to wait until tonight. Geez don't forget those dang coolant lines and have planty of extensions, swivels and sockets. The craftsman 60 piece just doesn't cut it. (I should have snaked some of my brother's tools when I had a chance.)
