: I have 72 grabber with a 302 auto.no AC i'm in tenn. it's in the 80's just got car on road last week it runs 200-210 degrees but when i sto it goes up to about 230 what size rad.cap should it have got. had 190 degree thermastat in changed to 180 it seemed a little better with the 190.I really need a shroud but havent found one.Any help would be deeply appreciated

Get some Radiator Relief!!! This stuff works. I have noted that when my engine runs at 150-160 degrees, it just loves it, but when it gets upto 200-205, it starts to choak. Mine was running around 210-230 last summer. Then I put a quart of Radiator Relief in with just enough antifreeze to protect down to 6 degrees, I noticed my temp dropped 15-20 degrees. Add the fan shroud for 10 degrees. I've heard that using a 160 termo helps. All this and you are looking at possible 25-40 degrees lower.

Check out my web site below. I have a full description of my experience with Radiator Relief. Take the Current Mods link to Keep the Engine Cool. I am planning on getting a second quart and adding it to see if it helps any more. Also have a 160 termo to install when I do it. Good Luck!!
