but I wouldn't worry about giving out my VIN because why would anyone go to so much trouble? If they were planning on stealing the car I guess they would, but when I reported it stolen they would be caught, so I wouldn't be worried about giving out my VIN because it'd have to be quite a conspiracy against my car to pull it off. -CP

: : : : : I wouldnt have a problem giving out my VIN because what is someone gonna do with it?If you wanted to duplicate it through someone like Marti autoworks I think they want a picture or rubbing of metal tag in the windshield.Plus, if we register our VIN with you or the Maverick/Comet club then they(or you) can keep it confidential but it atleast allows you to know how many cars really exist.Just a thought.
